Welcome to the first of many biweekly prompts that will fill the empty space left between our biweekly literary inquiries.

This week, our theme is open to whatever tale you can think of. It is a prompt that brings with it the truth, but what kind of truth? That is for you to show us. Take our theme and incorporate it into a story or poem. We can't wait to see the truth between the lies, in this week's theme:

The truth is out there.

The universe is in your grasp. Now find an idea and go with it!

Take a look at this summary of our guidelines:

:bulletblack: Use proper grammar and spelling, unless relevant to the story/poem.
:bulletwhite: Must be created for the prompt.
:bulletblack: Show our icon in the author's comments.
:bulletwhite: Mention which prompt your submission is for in the author's comments.
:bulletblack: Submit it to the Prompt Submissions folder in our gallery.

Deadline

Monday November 28th, midnight GMT timezone.
This leaves you with two weeks to ponder what lies beyond and what kind of truth lingers just out of reach. Is it horrifying, gratifying, or something much, much more sinister?

Tell us what we don't know.

It's your time to reveal the truth.

Send your suggestions for future prompts to the group or *Magic-fan via note :note:.

We can't wait to hear from you. :blackrose:

I’m looking for a literature group with which I can have a mutually beneficial relationship; I get a place to showcase my work, while you get another reader and promoter of your group. A concern of some other lit groups is that their judges be treated with respect, etc., but these seem to be conceived as a one way affair (people submit, the group judges). What I’m looking for is a group that recognizes that we are all (or at least mostly) amateurs and so approaches the judgment of submissions with a touch of humility and generosity. I’m looking for a lit group where those judging pieces can look at a work accept it for its quality even if it is disliked, or in an unfamiliar form, or not understood. And if not understood, a question is asked. Is this that group?

Have you considered adding a creative nonfiction folder? I'm expanding into that style and so I'm looking for "outlets." ;) Thanks.
